Winton tennis club offers two adult playing sessions per week throughout the year.
Playing sessions at Winton Tennis Club usually take the format of four half hour sessions, between which partners and opponents are swapped around, allowing players to experience different styles of play and tactics. The sessions are mostly doubles, but singles will also be played whenever requested by players, as long as player numbers allow it.
While the club is suitable for players of a wide range of playing abilities, we are not able to cater for complete beginners, as we do not have a coaching programme. However the club works closely with Matt Cole of Bourne 4 Tennis, who manages all the coaching for the Tennis In The Park sites, and he will be pleased to look after any players who are just starting out.
There are currently no junior playing sessions, but junior membership is available to players of 14 to 18 years of age, which will allow them to play in adult sessions if their tennis is of a satisfactory standard.
Non members may play in up to 4 playing sessions at an additional cost of £5 per session, which would then be deducted from the subscription if the player subsequently becomes a member. (If a non member plays on a Saturday, then as the normal charge for a Saturday session is £4, only the remaining £1 would be deducted from the subscription.)
Balls are provided by the club for all official club sessions, but players will be expected to bring their own rackets.
